VBA Programming Guidelines – SQL programming
Programming guidelines for SQL databases can be found on the BBC Sport website.
The guidelines say: It’s a good idea to: Create a VBA codebase to avoid conflicts between different SQL databases, and avoid adding unnecessary functions.
Use a custom editor to edit your database code, instead of a standard editor like VBA.
Create a database to avoid duplication and to avoid the creation of additional objects for the database.
Use one SQL statement for all queries in the database and one for each SQL statement in the query.
It’s also important to ensure that you have a single database that will store all your database schema data.
